I'm Rockin' Ron the Friendly Pirate!
Welcome aboard! I perform entertaining and educational Pirate Music for Kids and Kids at Heart (me hearties) on my CDs & DVD, as well as in person. As a pirate who tries to be friendly and helpful I have provided you with educational lesson plans, lyrics to my songs, and coloring pages.
Feel free to poke around my site to see pictures of me performing, read testimonials, see some of my favorite fan art and learn the answers to frequently asked questions. I am available for pirate appearances at schools, libraries events and paRRRties. If you need any assistance... drop me a message in a bottle.
Now you SEA me!
Winter 2013 brings the action indoors with some weekly gigs. Rockin' Ron The Friendly Pirate continues to sail into Buttered Noodles every Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. This Williston "feel good place" has been voted the area's Best Toy Store - according to Seven Days readers.
My main port o' call is the Morse Mountain Grille at Smugglers' Notch Resort. Starting December 6th, join me for weekly Friendly Pirate Dinners on Mondays from 5:00-8:00 PM, or wake up with me hearty Friendly Pirate Breakfast on Fridays from 8:00-10:00 AM. You can find details here.
My newest video is a Pirate People sing-along from my newest CD release. Check it out!
I'm unbelivably excited about the release of Pirate PaRRRty! - my second album. It contains 20 brand new songs ranging from the pop dance groove of the opener We RRR the Pirate People, to the taken-from-history tale of 1717 (Black Sam Bellamy), to the raucous rock of Rock the Plank, to the surfin' style of FP's Raingiutter Regatta. There are gentle moments in the lullabyes of Magical Mermaid Parade and Safe Harbor. There are songs that can be used for special occaisions such as Pirate Birthday PaRRRty, Buccaneer Bells, Mother of Pearl, and Dad's Alright, He's Pirate - for Birthdays, Yuletide Celebrations, Mother's Day, and Father's Day respectively. As always, there RRR lots of puns and fun with language in Polly Esther Pants, Pirates of the Mayo, and The Word Pirate... and language(s) in Gator's Gotta Go. The physical CD is currently available at Buttered Noodles, Brown & Jenkins, and Smugglers' Notch Resort, and online through CD Baby. Downloads are available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and other sites.
It takes alot to make an album: from recording to packaging to inspiration and encouragement. Planks and thanks go to April "me Very First & Only Matey" Tuck, Andre "Fearless Fretmaster" Maquera of West Street Digital, Tracy Wolters of Northern Moon Music, Ashley "Kentucky Corsair" Sikora of Wink & a Smile Design, Wendy "Pearly Polly" Maquera, Mingo "SatRRR... fish" Maquera, Pat and Janice "Pirates of the" Mayo, Will "Buccaneer Bassist" Patton, and all my friends and fans!
Pirate Drinking PaRRRtners!
Pirates get a bad rap sometimes (I wrote a good rap). With all their grog drinking they can get a little cranky. As a friendly pirate my brew of choice is Brown & Jenkins Buccaneer Brew. Try a cup of Spiced Butter Rum (winter) and Coconut Rum (summer) java either in person in Cambridge VT (you might even see me in my street pirate clothes) or order online at www.brownjenkins.com.
The Vermont Liberty Tea Company has cracked open a tea chest and packaged up some Pirate BooTea. An herbal tea made with rooibos, pineapple, coconut, spearmint, hibiscus, and natural flavors, Pirate BooTea has a hearty blood red hue. Served hot or cold it ushers in a taste of the islands and as a caffeine-free-tea it's perfect before Buccaneer Bedtime. Available in tea bags or as loose tea. Order on the website or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
